In cases where you don't want or can't execute a maintenance job you may create a service order instead. After clicking the button `Create Service Order` you can use one of the defined maintenance jobs of the component or, in cases of an exceptional service request, you may also start with a blank service order. The system will assist you with the creation of a standard requisition in the Purchasing module by adding all maintenance relevant details to the new requisition. While editing this requisition you may also add necessary spare parts or other articles to the requisition as long as they can be delivered by the same supplier. For more details of the creation of requisitions in the Requisition module please read the topic [Creating Requisitions](/procurement/purchase/requisitions/create-requisition).
