# Reporting

The execution of maintenance jobs can be reported in the `Schedules` list or directly in `Components` view.

After clicking the button `Create Report` in the `Schedules` part of the Maintenance module you will be able to collect all the data of an executed maintenance job. For counter depending jobs you will also be asked to enter the counter value at the time of executing the job. The counter value entered into the report will not affect the current counter value of a component - this can be adjusted only via the Counter List function.

Creating a report from `Components` view will give you the following additional options:

* Creating an exceptional report if a maintenance job needed to be executed that's not related to the planned maintenance jobs.
* Creating a report for a maintenance job that has been made available in the system as a on-demand maintenance job.

## Adding Used Spare Parts

While creating the report you can also add details about spare parts used for performing the maintenance job. Switch to the `Used Spare Parts` tab and use the buttons `Add` and `Remove` for creating the list of used spare parts. After clicking the `Add` button you will see first a list of spare parts of the component by the affected by the maintenance job. If a spare part cannot be found in this list you can also choose any spare part from any location on board.

## Adding Document Files and Photographs

In addition to the information you can provide in the `Findings` edit box you can also add document files or photographs to the job report. Switch to the tab `Documents and Photos` and use the buttons `Add` and `Remove` for creating the list of document attachments.

Depending on your configuration settings the size of the documents to be added might be limited. Document files that will exceed the given size limit will not be allowed to be added to the maintenance report. Photographs in JPEG format will be resized and compressed automatically to a suitable size. The compression ratio is also defined in the configuration settings and cannot be changed by the user.

## Using Forms

If defined for the Job Code, the maintenance job may also include additional forms to be filled out as part of the maintenance job report. If a form has been flagged as `Mandatory`, the report can't be saved and closed before the mandatory form was filled out.
