Access Rights Migration
Since version 26.1 all user access rights will be strictly managed by assigning one or more user roles to a user. Individual user rights assigned to users in previous ZeeBORN versions will be ignored. For user who still require special user access rights, an option was implemented to allow the assignment of multiple user roles.
Preparation before upgrading to version 26.1 and newer
While the role based user management was already supported in earlier versions, previous versions did also allow to assign and remove individual access rights on user level. With upgrading the version 26.1 or newer those individual user right assignments will no longer be used by the system and only user rights assigned via user roles will active for each user.
If you didn't use the role based user management at all, you should create the required user roles and define the required user access rights for each role. Then assign those roles to your users. You can use the options under Reports/Activities for getting reports about the assigned user access rights for all users incl. remarks about role assigned access rights and individual access right assignments.
Upgrading
The user management is upgraded automatically by installing version 26.1 or newer. The upgrade switches the user management to fully role based user access rights, individually assigned user access rights will be ignored.
Special User Access
While previous versions allowed to assign special access rights on user level, this is now done by creating a special user access role first and assigning this role as an additional role to a user.
