Connect to Server
ConnectToServer is an alternative client installation and update tool that allows normal Windows users to connect their PCs to a ZeeBORN server without the need of administrative rights on the local machine. As this tool bypasses typical IT controlled client software installation standards, it's made available on on demand after approval by customer's management and IT.

Advantages
- No admin rights required for installation
- Updates made available via the ZeeBORN server can be installed by normal Windows users without requiring administrative rights. As soon as an update is found on the server, the system guides the user through a one-click update process.

Limitations
- ZeeBORN application will be installed for a single Windows user. If multiple users use the same machine with different user accounts, each user needs his own installation of the client software.
- No support for documents in
.zbdocformat. The ZeeBORN Document Viewer needs to be installed separately via the Microsoft Store. - This version has no access to database replication features.

Installation
After downloading the tool via the link provided by ZeeBORN support, the tool can be started without further preparation.
If the client software is installed for the first time the name of the database server and the database server port must be entered.
Confirm the entered database server name by clicking the Install button. The tool will only need some seconds for downloading the client software from the local server and installing it on the user's PC.

Updates
Updates will automatically be detected as soon as they are made available during a normal ZeeBORN server update. The local ZeeBORN client will detect the new version and will guide through a one-click update process by starting the ConnectToServer automatically. Confirm the update and click Install for updating your local software version.
