# Connect to Server

The Connect to Server tool allows the installation and updating of the ZeeBORN client application without the need of special administrative access rights on the local server.

The tool will be made available to users if approved by the company's system administrator.

# Installation

After downloading the tool via the link provided by ZeeBORN support, the tool can be started without further preparation.

If the client software is installed for the first time the name of the database server and the database server port must be entered.

Confirm the entered database server name by clicking the Install button. The tool will only need some secods for downloading the client software from the local server and installing it on the user's PC.

# Updates

The tool can also be used for updating an existing version of the ZeeBORN client software. Just start the tool and click Install for updating your local software version.

# Limitations of this type of client installation:

• ZeeBORN application will be installed for a single Windows user. If multiple users use the same machine with different user accounts, each user needs his own installation of the client software.
• No support for documents in .zbdoc format. The ZeeBORN Document Viewer needs to be installed separately via the Microsoft Store.
• This version has no access to database replication features.
