Importing IMPA Catalog
The importing and updating of IMPA data can be done in the Catalogs section of the Stock Control module.

Preparation
The IMPA catalog content together with the necessary license can be acquired at IMPA.net. The data will be made available in Excel format (beside other formats) and can be directly imported into the system.
Together with the data you will usually also receive a link to an archive that contains article pictures. The download and import of those pictures is optional.
IMPORTANT
After receiving the Excel data, you will need to remove the protection from the Excel document as the import does work only with unprotected documents.

Import
The import can be started via the menu More Actions > Import IMPA Catalog and the system will guide you through the import process.
You will need to select the Excel file to be imported. The selection of the folder with the extracted picture data is optional.
Clicking on Start Import will start the data import. If any error is detected during the import, the related errors can be fixed and the process can be repeated until all data are imported successfully.
If the data will be imported for the first time, an IMPA catalog entry will be created in the catalog tree together with the related sub-categories and items.
If an IMPA catalog was already imported before, importing a new Excel file with IMPA data will update already existing data in the system.
