# Creating a New Site

In the main menu of the Site Management click the button New. This button allows you to create a new entry for an office, an agency or a ship. Depending on your selection the program will request all the required data from you for creating the database record.

# Registration Number

For vessels it's required to enter the 7 digit registration number (IMO or ENI number) of the vessel. If you want to manage a site or vessel that doesn't have a registration number, you can also let the system assign a new internal registration number. Registration numbers generated by the system start with 5000001.

# External Reference

The input of an external reference is optional. The external reference can be used if a reference to an external system needs to be store for the site/vessel to be created.
