Access Rights

The functions of the Contracts section are controlled by the access rights of the user's role. The following rights are available for the Contracts section:

Access Contracts Module	Access to the Contracts section as a whole
Add Contract	Creating main contracts and sub-contracts
Edit Contract	Changing the details of a contract
Delete Contract	Removing a contract
Add Contract Item	Creating contract items
Edit Contract Item	Changing contract items
Delete Contract Item	Removing contract items

A user only sees the functions covered by the rights of their role. Rights that are not assigned hide the corresponding function completely.

Visibility of the Contracts tab

The Contracts tab is only shown when both conditions are fulfilled:

• the Contracts feature is enabled for your installation, and
• the user has the "Access Contracts Module" right.

Without this right the whole section including all its functions is hidden.

Import from Excel

The Excel import replaces both contracts and contract items. It is therefore only available to users who have both the "Edit Contract" and the "Edit Contract Item" right.

Functions without a dedicated right

The search functions Find Contract and Find Item as well as the detail views do not change data and are available to every user who can access the Contracts section.
