Finding Contracts and Items
Contract structures can become large, and an item is not always where you would expect it. The Contracts section therefore offers two search functions in the ribbon.
Find Contract
Find Contract searches all levels of the contract hierarchy - main contracts, sub-contracts and their sub-levels. The search term is compared with the contract name, number and title.
- If exactly one contract matches, it is selected in the tree immediately.
- If several contracts match, a list is shown with the name, number, vendor and the position in the hierarchy of each hit. Select the entry you are looking for and confirm with Go to.
Find Item
Find Item searches the contract items. The search term is compared with the item name, makers reference, item number and internal number.
- If exactly one item matches, the system opens its contract and marks the item in the item list.
- If several items match, a list of the matching items is shown, including the contract each item belongs to. After selecting an entry the system opens the corresponding contract and marks the item.
Automatic opening of the tree
The contract tree loads its entries only when a node is expanded. Both search functions therefore open the required part of the tree automatically before the entry is selected - you do not have to know or expand the path yourself.
