Changed Job Delay Handling
ZeeBORN software versions released after September 2025 introduce an updated handling of maintenance job delays.
The main changes are:
- General limit of delays to a maximum of 180 days after initial due date.
- Introduction of 2 new authorization levels. Depending on the authorization level assigned to a user, the user will be able to delay a job by maximum 30 days in level 1 and 45 days in level 2.
IMPORTANT
While the introduction of those changes have only a minimum direct impact on the operation of the maintenance job handling, it's still highly recommended to check the recommended steps in the document.
Recommended Steps after Software Update
User Management
The original access right for delaying maintenance jobs has been renamed to Postpone Job (Unlimited). Each user who had the access right for delaying jobs assigned in previous versions of the system will have this access right now. It's recommended to remove this access right and assign one of the rights with authority level instead.
Adjusting Authority Limits per Job
After installing the software update, the following limits will be applied by default:
- Overall maximum delay: 180 days
- Authorization Level 1: 30 days
- Authorization Level 2: 45 days
For a more detailed control about the maximum days assignable for each authorization level for a job, the related limits can be set in the Job Code editor (see Configuration > Job Codes).
Changes in Reporting
While using postponing the execution of a maintenance job, the following changes can be seen:
- The maximum date and days are shown based on the active user access rights.
- Delaying a job now requires attaching documents to this job delay report. Those attachments will later be accessible from job reports and general maintenance job lists that show historic data.
